Service Description

The advanced horse course is for students who have already completed a session of the Horse Course. Just like the first course, this one runs an hour each class weekly for 4 weeks. In the advanced course, students will learn in depth on equine first aid - what to do in an emergency, how to wrap and ice legs and how to know what's a serious injury. They will get to learn how to plan their own barn. We will go over what it takes to run a barn, costs and good layouts, then they will each get a turn to plan out their own barn. If weather permits, students will get to help bathe a horse! Students will learn more in depth how their body language affects the horse and get to take turns leading the horse around an obstacle course. This class is great for students of all ages. Parents are welcome to join the class at no additional cost. Siblings 2 and under can join at no cost as well. The cost is for the entire session (4 weeks). *A $2.50 fee is added for payments made through the website
