Service Description
This class is for students who have already taken a horse course with Crystal. In this course, we will build upon the skills and knowledge learned in the beginner course. Students will learn how to: -Read horse body language and practice moving the horse with theirs -Learn about and observe herd dynamics -Help feed and turn out horses -Learn equine first aid and what to do -Practice wrapping horses legs -Learn about barn design and get a chance to design their own barn -Practice a riding position and how that affects the horse -Learn about more breeds and markings of horses Students will get a chance to lead horses and try riding them if they would like. We will also work with the herd more and learn more about their energy and ours. This class is taught mostly on the ground, however students can try riding a horse if interested. Classes will be held outside when the weather cooperates. There is also an indoor arena and a heated barn. Bathroom is available on site. Refunds and class make ups are not available for this session. Class runs from 10 - 12 Tuesday and Thursday. Please have children wear close toed shoes and long pants and preferably layers. Water bottles are encouraged.
