Horses 101

Have horse crazy kids? This is the class for them! In these mindfulness based horse classes, kids will get to learn everything about horses. Some of the topics are: -Horse anatomy and history -Horse breeds, colors and markings -Grooming supplies and how to groom a horse -Keeping a horse - what it entails -Mindfulness and horses and how they go together -Saddles and riding disciplines -How to clean and care for tack -How to clean a stall and other barn upkeep -Horse food - what they eat and why -How to lead a horse The classes are an hour each, running for 4 weeks total. Students will get to be around, brush and lead real horses. The last class, students can even sit on a horse if they are interested. Parents/guardians must stay with their children. Sibling discounts available, please enquire. Siblings 3 and under are welcome at no charge. Classes will be held outside if the weather cooperates. Otherwise there is a covered arena and a heated barn to learn in if not. Classes are non refundable. Make up days are not available. Sibling discounts available, please enquire.
